Glossop Cricket Club 1XI/2XI match reports - 20th June 2015

Glossop travelled to Worsley to face a Roe Green side with only one win in their opening eight games, as they looked to build on the momentum gained from their impressive Lancashire KO win the previous weekend. With rain in the air a reduced game always looked to be on the cards, and the overs were eventually reduced to 29 with Glossop bowling first. The hosts raced to 28-0 inside 3 overs but wickets soon fell in clusters as the innings stuttered thanks to accurate spells from Stephen Hunt (3-25), Mark Usher (4-44) and Cameron Ball (2-12). With the help of a comical run out, the three pace men tore through the Roe Green line up reducing them to 96-10 inside 27 overs.
