Two more women charged in connection with Glossop assault

Two more women have been charged in connection with an alleged assault that left a Glossop man with life-threatening injuries. John Wrigley suffered serious injuries after allegedly being attacked on the junction of Henry Street and Norfolk Street, Glossop. The 29-year-old remains in hospital in a stable condition following the incident, which happened at about 8pm on Saturday, August 30. Abigail Daniels, 23, of Woolley Bridge Road, Hadfield, has been charged with assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. Elizabeth Willis, 25, of Queen Street, Glossop, has been charged with assisting an offender. Both have been bailed to appear at court at a later date.


 
Five people were also charged earlier this month. Anthony O’Neill (18) of Salisbury Street, Hadfield has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
 Alan O’Neill (48) of Salisbury Street, Hadfield has been charged with assisting an offender and appeared in court in Buxton on Monday September 15.
 
Carmel O’Neill (40) of Hadfield Road, Hadfield has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and assisting an offender.  She appeared in court in Buxton on Monday September 15.
 
Aaron Daniels (41) of Cottage Lane, Gamesley, Glossop has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.  He appeared in court in Buxton on Monday September 15.
 
A 17-year-old youth from Hadfield has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.  He also appeared in court in Buxton on Monday September 15.
