Unedited press release from Plan A (North West) Limited
Local land owners, Glossop Land Limited and Lofthouse Developments Limited, are each preparing complementary planning applications proposing the regeneration of the Woods Mill area on the edge of Glossop Town Centre and invite the local community to have their say on the emerging proposals. Glossop Land Limited, the majority landowner, has been promoting the regeneration of the Woods Mill area for many years in partnership with the Regeneration Team at High Peak Borough Council.
A draft masterplan has been prepared by a specialist team of architects, surveyors, planners and highways consultants that responds to the Council’s aspirations for the site and wider market conditions. Once finalised, this draft masterplan will form the basis of two planning applications for the redevelopment of the area. The local community is invited to view the draft masterplan at Bradbury Community House on Market Street in Glossop on Monday 28 July 2014 between 2pm and 7pm. The draft masterplan will be on display together with further information about the emerging proposals. Members of the design team will be available to introduce the proposals in further detail, answer any questions and invite feedback.
Mick Ryan of Glossop Land Limited said: “The draft masterplan proposals have taken great time and effort to assemble and we have now prepared a mixed-use development scheme that we think can successfully deliver the regeneration of this under-used site. We now invite local people to express their views on the draft masterplan at the public exhibition so that they can be taken into account in the forthcoming planning applications. We look forward to discussing the scheme further at the exhibition”
