Gamesley - the only safe seat in town?

Glossop elections 2015 - ward by ward

The safest seat in town is Gamesley, held by Labour's Anthony McKeown since 2003, sometimes unopposed. In the last election he faced a single candidate and got 82% of the vote. He is currently Deputy Leader of the Council, Deputy Leader of the Labour Group, Executive Councillor for Community Services and a member of the Appointments and Appeals Panel. His challengers in 2015 are Conservative Brian Evans and Green Party Peter Duncan Allen. UKIP do not have a candidate in Gamesley. Voter turnout in Gamesley is usually one of the lowest in the High Peak. As of 2nd May, none of the Gamesley candidates had answered our questions.
