Due to other commitments reporting activities at the Glossop Gazette were scaled down over the autumn. Despite this we have comfortably achieved our aim of 10,000 unique visitors per month for 2014. Figures calculated to 26th November 2014 and exclude traffic generated by robots, worms, or replies with special HTTP status codes. Over 97% of our visitors are from the UK.
The Glossop Gazette has now established itself as the major force in online Glossop news. We have done this without paid staff, without any advertising, without being listed on Google News and with nowt past Mottram Moor. The negative side is that we no longer reach several hundred of our original readers who do not use the internet. Plans to reintroduce a print version are on hold until 2015. Meanwhile, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Glossop Gazette.
