Police appeal after charity shop takings are stolen in Glossop

Police are appealing for information after shop takings were stolen from a Glossop charity shop. At around 12.15pm on Monday, September 7, a man entered the Age UK store on High Street West. As he looked around the man made his way into the rear office before being disturbed by a shop assistant and volunteer. As he left the premises, the shop assistants noticed that the charity shop takings and a purse containing cash and cards had been stolen. The man was described as white, around 6ft tall, with shaven dark hair. He was of slim build and wore a blue coloured jacket.

Officers investigating the incident are appealing to witnesses who may have seen a man matching that description close to the Age UK store. Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Simon Lomas on 101, quoting crime number 38387/15, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
